Have You Heard of Dropload?

I blogged before about YouSendIt.com, which I’ve used for quite sometime to send and receive large files via email. I’ve been working on my annual “Christmas Media Review” lately and receiving new content from tons of producers. One recently used Dropload to send me their files. I had never heard of Dropload, but they’re worth checking out. YouSendIt is SO busy that it sometimes takes forever to upload something.

  1. David Russell Says:

We use Dropsend because they have a decent file size allowance. (1GB) It’s a pay-for service, but I think it’s worth it. And they do have a free package with some restrictions. Even though I have access to FTP and other services to transmit large files, Dropsend just makes it so easy.

(On a side note, I’ve actually considered building a system like this for NCC’s use when we send files out-of-house. I wonder now if it might be handy as a service to churches… Just thinking aloud.)
