What Presentation Software Do You Use?

In meeting with the folks at MediaShout the other week, they mentioned that out of the list of the Top 25 Most Innovative Churches in the US, 19 of them used MediaShout. I found that interesting. I’m a regular user of EasyWorship, but also have a great respect for ProPresenter and MediaShout. I’m curious as to what you use at your church…SO, I created a Squidoo poll where you can vote. Please go HERE to place your vote or.

Have you heard of Sermon Cinema? Might be worth checking out.
PERSONAL:
Yesterday was a great day. We did a funny drama, great music, our pastor was back from his sabbatical and we played an in-house video we did that was hilarious. Also, we had 4 people shadowing people on the Tech Arts team and watching what was going on behind the scenes. We just did a volunteer campaign called “iServe” and it produced some great new contacts.
Also, after our last service last night, I got to sneak over to Denton Bible and catch one of my favorite artists in concert: Shawn McDonald! I love him, his music and his testimony. Wow!

What Presentation Software Do You Use?…
I saw this over at Church Video Ideas and I thought it was interesting. At Romeo we use MediaShout, which I like a lot. At least one person on our staff would like to see us switch to the Mac-based ProPresenter… but even if we wanted to you are looki…

We are using ProPresenter. We used others, but found that this software was the simplest to use. We have never had a glitch from day one and it integrates all forms of video which was a huge plus to us. We installed it in the youth room and they love it. They were using media shout and had constant glitching, integration problems with video and it was very complex for many of the kids to use.
Just as reference, we were using a Dual Core P4 w/4 g ram in our PC and Media Shout still glitched and crashed the computer. We could not get it stable. That was v 2.5 and v3

[…] Today, Greg Atkinson asks what, if any, presentation software titles his readers are using. Greg shares the tidbit that 19 of Outreach’s 25 Most Innovative Churches in the US use MediaShout, which surprised me a little bit. I know MediaShout is a good product and I know it stands up well in comparison with competitors like EasyWorship, but I didn’t know it would be favored that heavily by the churches on the list. Of course, an inherent problem with the worship presentation software industry has been price–MediaShout and EasyWorship both retail at around $400, which may seem trivial to large churches but prohibitive to smaller churches. Price is an even bigger factor when you consider that PowerPoint and Keynote (exclusive to Macs) are part of relatively inexpensive productivity software bundles (Microsoft Office and iWork respectively) that most churches purchase anyway. Keynote, even though it might require a learning curve for PowerPoint users, can even do things like play video backgrounds behind text–a feature that PC users can’t get on PowerPoint. […]

I didn’t want to join Squidoo just to vote, so… we use ProPresenter and LOVE it. We used MediaShout before but feel ProPresenter is far superior.

We use Sunday Plus and have used it for 8 years. I now work for Grass Roots Software and do demonstrations of Sunday Plus and Freepath. One of the comments I hear often is how easy the software is to use, yet very professional looking, with most all of the bells and whistles that the other software has.

Our church has used EasyWorship for years. Besides all the other powerful features, which seem hidden under the uncluttered interface, EasyWorship is just what it says, EASY! In 5 minutes, someone can be taught to use EasyWorship to present a program [which has already been created]. I believe it would be a challenge for other worship software to attemp this. They each have their advantages. For price Worship Him is great. Slightly non-standard interface but powerful for under $200!

We use easy worship, via a dell inspiron 8500 with 64mb dedicated nvidia card, good easy presentations though updating song database and importing exporting database to church members doing service prep on home based pc`s has been a real NIGHTMARE…lost a couple! adding new backgrounds from home site is tedius and very slow though the plus on this is there are some brilliant free ones!!! and it would be great to schedule chunks of scrollable scripture and also to have a liturgy, plus points, support is superb, a child could use it (potentially), our lappy only just manages the text over video modes, ( even with a p4 2.4 and 64 dedicated mb graphics card) and has stalled on several occasions, however I would strongly recommend this software as it is easier than powerpoint and looks good, ps its not always a simple matter setting up your extended deskttop/dual display.

I use Easy Worship on a Dell laptop. I have yet to notice any glitches besides some laggy video. I don’t like that fact that it doesn’t (2006 anyway) support flash. I use alot of flash on the website and would love to integrate it into the service. Does anyone know if there is a plugin I can use that will actually play the song with the lyrics and background? I’m going to be without a pianist for a bit and need something to lead songs with in the service. Are there DVD clips that will do this?
