Sweet Relief!
Posted by Church Video Ideas under Churches, Greg's Favorites, Ideas, Intros and Announcements, Media ministry, Random ThoughtsThe much anticipated and highly stressful “first Sunday” in the new worship center is behind me now. What a day it was! We had an amazing time of worship in both morning services and celebrated God’s faithfulness to us. It was the 32nd anniversary of our church (I’m 32, too) and my 1 year anniversary of being at Bent Tree.
We had 5 on hand from Clark ProMedia, including 2 of their executives that flew in on Sunday just to be there for our first service. Word is they are going to use our worship center as a “show room” to demo and show other churches that are building - pretty cool.
I know many of you have asked for pics, so I had our Visual Arts Coordinator take some so you could get a sense of what yesterday was like (keep in mind that this is not our “Grand Opening” - that will be in May).

We are celebrating with you. What a great day! I lead out on the creative elements of our weekend services and I’d love to hear a bit more about your final feature w/ the changed lives. Could one of yours email me? Grateful, Heather

Do you use the 4 video monitors on the stage for lyrics?
February 4th, 2008 at 11:29 am
Hi, Josh. Yes, we used the 4 video monitors on the stage for lyrics. We are still working on what they will look like. We’re probably buying or building some type of cart for them to sit in (that will be black).
We’ll also probably have 2 larger ones on the floor for the pastor to glance down at. We just threw those up quickly to make it through this first Sunday.

First off === congrats on the first Sunday in the new place! We’ve been following along with you and are excited to see the developments.
Second, my pastors LOVED the way your background is and we’re curious if you are using tapestry type hangings or projection for the leaf and red panels.

Wow, this is awesome. I’m way excited for you and your team. The look and feel is great. Interesting backdrop and Monitor placement. Attention to detail is obvious.

Greg, good hustle man. I know you and your staff have put in tons of work (uhhhh…understatement) - It’s been rewarding to check in on the progress and see the new setup. Thanks for your example and honesty through this process on churchvideoideas. It’s been fun to read and be a part of. I hope I can make it out sometime and check it out.

Congrats, brother man! Way to go. You and your team deserve a great big pat on the back, and a good long rest!

Greg,
Just wanted to say what a great time we had working with you on building your new HD video suite and television lighting system. What a great first Sunday! I really enjoyed the music and message. Here are two links to some pictures I took of the install, rehearsal, and 1st Sunday:

Yes - I forgot to mention. All the backgrounds we used the first 2 Sundays in our new worship center were from Igniter Backs Vol. 3.
