Google just celebrated their 10 year anniversary. Many have asked - and so do I: “How has Google changed/impacted your world?”

Its been absolutely huge! Aside from its beginnings as the worlds best search engine, it now is entrenched in everything I do on the web. Mail, Calendar, RSS, you name it. I am now looking at monetizing a website and of course the first thing you look at is adsense so that just one more thing. It is kinda scary the amount of data they must have on all of us and where they will try to go next. It may make Microsoft look like kids stuff before they are through.
Thanks for all you do.

Google’s impact has been massive and is basically the yard-stick all websites are measured against. We at PacificDisc http://www.pacificdisc.com have been working for three years now to get a front page ranking for our choice keywords on Google. Thankfully we’ve now achieved this, but it’s scary if they make a change in their algorithm and the ranking plunges.
MSN and Yahoo! search results are nice to have too, but you cannot compete in our business without some major investment in time and organic search activities resulting in high ranks in Google. Love them or hate them, they’re here to stay and you need to play their game to survive.
BTW - we’ve just posted an article on disc duplication for churches. You can read it here: http://www.pacificdisc.com/article16.html. Enjoy
